Call for Collaboration Garuda Spark Innovation Hub
Garuda Spark Innovation Hub (GSIH) is an initiative by the Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi) to accelerate Indonesia’s digital economic transformation.
GSIH serves as a catalyst for a digital innovation ecosystem that is nationally coordinated and locally adapted. Through this hub, government, academia, industry, startups, investors, communities, and media can connect in one collaborative ecosystem to create tangible impact for national development.
Why Garuda Spark Innovation Hub?
Indonesia is at a critical point in its digital transformation:
The digital economy is projected to reach USD 130 billion by 2025, supported by over 221 million internet users.
However, structural challenges persist: the digital divide between Java and non-Java regions, workforce skill mismatch, and the urgent need to maximize the 2020–2035 demographic bonus.
The government aims to increase the digital sector’s contribution from 4.6% of GDP to 20% by 2045, raise per capita GNI to USD 30,300, improve the Human Capital Index from 0.54 to 0.73, and maintain sustainable economic growth of 8% per year.
GSIH exists to ensure this momentum is fully harnessed and becomes a collective force that drives Indonesia’s digital independence and competitiveness.
